Banking and budget

Banking
Credit cards are accepted in most places in Sweden, in particular VISA, Eurocard, MasterCard and American Express. Please check before you leave home that the card is valid during your whole stay in Sweden.  It is a good idea to check whether your bank at home has a Swedish banking partner. We have almost stopped using cash in Sweden.

You should bring your passport, the accommodation contract and a letter of admission from Konstfack to the SEB bank at Liljeholmen, address Årstaängsvägen 21B, (first floor) subway station Liljeholmen. They will assist you in opening a bank account.
You need to call them to make an appointment, phone number 08-639 5440.
Opening hours Monday-Friday 10 A.M to 4 P.M. Special rules, designed by the U.S banks, apply for those residing in the US.

Please contact the International office if you have any questions: international@konstfack.se
