Artistic assessment
The artistic assessment is conducted by a specialised assessment group consisting of professors, teatchers, and professional practitioners. Each programme has its own assessment group that reviews the applicant assignments (and, if applicable, conducts interviews).
The selection process occurs in two stages. In the first stage, the applicant’s submitted assignments are evaluated based on artistic ability. For applicants to the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes, a selected number of applicants are invited for an interview. An assignment may be given before the interview. Konstfack will inform you of the time and place if you are selected for an interview. During the interview, the applicant’s motivation for pursuing the programme, ability to reflect on their own artistic approach, and relation to the previously submitted assignments will be discussed.
Based on the criteria described above, a comprehensive assessment is conducted, and a final selection is determined. The selection results that applicants to Konsfack’s Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes may receive are:
1. Admitted
2. Deleted (does not meet the eligibility requirements, or deleted due to acceptance to a higher priority option).
3. Reserve or Res
As a reserve you are placed in different selection groups. Eligible applicants who were selected for an interview are assigned an individual merit value and places in the selection group “KGI”.
Eligible applicants who were not selected for an interview are placed in the selection group “AR” and are assigned a merit value of 1. Among these eligible applicants, a lottery system is used to determine their placement on the reserve list.
Eligible applicants who have not submitted files for selection are places in the selection group “ÖS”. Among these eligible applicants, a lottery system is used to determine their placement on the reserve list.
