Legal obligation for processing of personal data
Konstfack needs to collect your personal data in order to carry out a task in the public interest and as an element of the exercising of official authority vested in the controller (Article 6.1 e of the General Data Protection Regulation and Chapter 2, Section 2 of the Swedish Data Protection Act). Konstfack needs to process national identification numbers and identifiers because it is important to have secure identification (Article 87 of the General Data Protection Regulation and Chapter 3, Section 10 of the Swedish Data Protection Act).
What you submit becomes a public document
Much of the information at the university consists of public documents, e.g. the personal data you provide and files that are uploaded to konstfack.se. If your personal data is contained in an official document, anyone who requests it can access your personal data, unless secrecy pursuant to the Swedish Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act (2009:400) prevents this.
How long will the data you enter here be saved?
Konstfack saves its data for at least two months after a decision has been made on admission. With regard to personal data and documents that have been submitted to the teacher programme, these are saved for two years, as they constitute part of the authorisation requirement and are covered by other archiving rules.
