ULF – Education, learning, research
Konstfack's teacher training participates in the national initiative ULF – Education, Learning, Research.
In the ULF initative practice-based research is conducted in close collaboration with school operators and higher education institutions. The purpose is to develop teaching and subject didactic research

Konstfack, through the Department of Visual Arts and Sloyd Education, collaborates in ULF with

Collaboration with universities
To strengthen research on aesthetic knowledge traditions, Konstfack also collaborates with Royal College of Music in Stockholm and Stockholm University of the Arts.
Collaborative research
The research is conducted in collaboration between researchers, teachers, school leaders and student teachers in primary and secondary schools, including adapted schools. Here, creative environments are created for knowledge production and the exchange of ideas. The research aims to ensure that subject teachers have a clear voice throughout the research process and that the projects contribute to operational development.
Art, Crafts and Aesthetics
Konstfack runs ULF projects that develop teaching rooted in art, crafts and aesthetics. The projects also strengthen subject didactic research in the subjects of art and crafts.
Organization
Organizationally, Konstfack is part of the Huvudstadsnoden together with Stockholm University, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Royal College of Music in Stockholm, The Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences, Södertörn University and Stockholm University of the Arts.
