Requirements and selection

There are two types of entry requirements for studies at Konstfack. General entry requirements are required for all Konstfack's programmes. Specific entry requirements are required for certain programmes and courses.

The Bachelor's Degree Programmes

Requirements
For admission to the Bachelor's programmes at Konstfack you must meet the general entry requirements for higher education in Sweden.

More information about how to meet the general entry requirements for bachalor's level is published at the central application website universityadmissions.se.

Language test
The undergraduate programmes are conducted in Swedish. For applicants with a foreign upper-secondary school education that lack qualifications in Swedish, a TISUS test is required. TISUS is recognised by all universities in Sweden as a statement of eligibility in the Swedish language. For more information please go to TISUS.

Selection
Selection is made on artistic grounds and is based upon a portfolio, a written statement of your reason for applying for the program and an interview.

The Master’s Degree Programmes

Requirements
You must have a Bachelor’s degree, a professional degree with a minimum of 180 credits, or an equivalent foreign degree. Exemptions from these degree requirements may be made for students who have acquired equivalent knowledge by other means.

You can read more about documentation requirements and how to certify academic documents at the central application website universityadmissions.se.

English language requirements
A good command of spoken and written English is required. All teaching, tutoring and examinations are in English. International applicants who obtained degrees from educational institutions where the main language of instruction is not English must submit their TOEFL or IELTS test results.
