Book an introduction to Legimus
Students with a reading impairment are entitled to have their mandatory course literature made available as talking books from the talking book library Legimus.
Talking books are books that have been adapted for the purpose of making literature available to persons with a reading impairment. Reading impairments can be caused by, for example, dyslexia, visual impairment, certain types of mobility problems, neuropsychiatric disorders, or other disabilities making it difficult to read printed text.
If you are a Konstfack student with a reading impairment you can book an introduction to Legimus below. During the introduction you will be asked to describe your reading impairment to a Legimus administrator from the library, who will fill in a form that will be sent to The Swedish Agency for Accessible Media (MTM). This constitues an application for a Legimus account. Based on this, MTM will then decide if you are entitled to access talking books from Legimus.
The introduction takes approximately one hour. We also look at other tools that are useful to know about, for example the speech synthesis program TorTalk. Below you can suggest dates and times when it would be possible for you to schedule an introduction.
