Rules for Applicant Assignments, AI Tools and Plagiarism
What constitutes false or misleading information?
The applicant assignment you submit as part of your application must be your own work. When applying to Konstfack, you may not use unauthorised assistance, plagiarise another person's work, or present someone else's work as your own.
AI Tools and Applicant Assignments
The use of AI tools or AI-generated content is generally not permitted when creating applicant assignments or written texts. Your submitted work must be created by you.
Some programmes permit the use of AI-generated images or other AI-based techniques as part of the application process. If this is allowed, it will be clearly stated in the applicant assignment instructions for the relevant programme.
If the programme you are applying for permits the use of AI tools, it is essential that you clearly describe how and to what extent AI technology has been used in your submission.
Letter of Motivation
The use of AI tools or AI technologies to generate content for your letter of motivation is not permitted. However, spelling and grammar-checking tools, whether integrated into Microsoft Word or AI-based applications, may be used.
Plagiarism
Plagiarism is not allowed. Plagiarism is when you copy other people's texts, images or other moving material, without referring to the source. Plagiarism means imitating or copying someone else's work. This can involve different types of creatively produced material, such as images, text or film/video, where you present the material as if it were your own.
Copyright
The Copyright Act protects, among other things, artistic works and is based on the principle that a person who has created a work should have the exclusive right to determine how the work may be used (e.g. images, photographs, or illustrations, including material published online).
Revocation of Admission Due to False or Misleading Information
If you use AI technology in your applicant assignment without disclosing this, or if you present work as your own without properly acknowledging the source, Konstfack may revoke a decision regarding admission or placement on a waiting list. This is in accordance with Section 37 of the Swedish Public Administration Act (2017:90). Admission Regulations
