The Education and Research Administration Division (UFA) is responsible for the central administrative education support at undergraduate, advanced and doctoral level, as well as support for research. UFA works with support for students, doctoral students and boards, in close collaboration with Konstfack's four departments.
UFA's areas of responsibility include admissions, study documentation (LADOK), issuing degree certificates, internationalisation (including mobility), quality assurance coordination, and administrative support to research projects and doctoral education. Information and support are provided to both prospective students and students. This includes information during the application process, study and career guidance, student health, equal treatment (gender equality, discrimination), and other student right issues.
The support for doctoral education, guidance to develop course and programme syllabuses, as well as planning for the educational programme and course catalogue, is also placed here. Furthermore, many of the administrative systems used, such as Ladok, are managed within the department.
The secretarial and administrative support provided to the Board of Education and Research, and the Research and doctoral education committee, include planning and preparation of errands.
Other assignments include answering referral inquiries from other authorities, estimating and dimensioning study places/programmes, annual reports and budget proposals, and preparing other supporting documents for the University Board. Investigations are carried out on behalf of the management and boards.
