One Day About: "Design research in a changing world"

Welcome to the one-day symposium "Design research in a changing world"!

The Symposium: Exploring questions related to design research education and societal change, the symposium will be structured around two interconnected themes:

1. Design research in society: through presentations by PhD alumni in design, the morning session explores how a deeper understanding of the trajectories of doctoral graduates might inform the development of design research education.

2. Methods and strategies in design research: The afternoon session focuses upon design research methods in response to specific societal challenges including, for example, discussion of prototyping strategies, artistic research methods, and the workshop as a research environment.
