IA Lecture – Elding Oscarson

Johan Oscarson from the architectural practice Elding Oscarson will give a lecture about the office’s work, with a particular focus on Snickeriet (The Wood Workshop), an interior project that was awarded Guldstolen, the Swedish Association of Architects’ prize for interior architecture, in 2026.

Part of the jury’s motivation reads:

“Reuse is a key element of the design: bricks from a partially demolished load-bearing wall and previously bricked-up windows have been repurposed to create a new entrance floor. The reclaimed bricks anchor the intervention in the building’s history while also adding tactile quality. Existing furniture has accompanied the client into the new premises, where a clear and rational layout allows for flexibility and adaptation over time.”

Elding Oscarson has also received numerous awards for completed works, including Sweden’s most prestigious architectural distinction, the Kasper Salin Prize, for the Wisdome project at Tekniska Museet, featuring a large-scale timber structure.

Warmly welcome!
