Teacher Education
The Department of Visual Arts and Sloyd Education at Konstfack offers a teacher education programme. The language of instruction is Swedish.

We offer a 5-year programme for students who want to become teachers at upper secondary level, with Visual Arts as main subject and Media or Design as the second subject. This programme also gives qualification to teach Visual Arts at secondary level in school.
Our other programme is a 4.5-year education to become a teacher at secondary level in Visual Arts and Sloyd. This programme also gives qualification to teach Visual Arts at upper secondary school.
The 5-year programme leads to a Degree of Master of Arts in Upper Secondary Education, and the 4.5 -year programme leads to a Degree of Master of Arts in Secondary Education.
All teaching is conducted in Swedish and adapted to the Swedish school system. Therefore, applicants must demonstrate proficiency in Swedish or another Scandinavian language to participate in the programme.
Language test
The undergraduate programmes are conducted in Swedish. For applicants with a foreign upper-secondary school education that lack qualifications in Swedish, a TISUS test is required. TISUS is recognised by all universities in Sweden as a statement of eligibility in the Swedish language. For more information please go to www.su.se/svefler/tisus.
