Description
My PhD project explore how aesthetic learning processes can support learning, participation, and social development for children and young people with extensive special educational needs, such as those in special education groups or resource schools.

The project focus on students’ own experiences and perspectives, combining special education and art education approaches to examine how creative and aesthetic practices can serve as supportive tools in school. The study aims to contribute with knowledge about how to use art education in inclusive teaching methods that enhance motivation, learning, and participation.

I am a PhD candidate in "Aesthetic leraning processes and educational science" at Konstfack, in collaboration with HDK–Valand. I am trained as a teacher in Art and Design at IBIS, as well as a special education teacher. With many years of experience in primary school and special education groups, I have developed methods that combine art, design, and pedagogy to promote learning and inclusion.
