Description
In my PhD project, I explore how aesthetic learning processes can support learning, participation, and social development for children and young people with extensive special educational needs, such as those in special education groups or resource schools.

I focus on students’ own experiences and perspectives, combining special education and art education approaches to examine how creative and aesthetic practices can serve as supportive tools in school. My aim is to contribute new knowledge about inclusive teaching methods that enhance motivation, learning, and participation.

I am a PhD candidate in Aesthetic leraning processes and educational science at Konstfack, in collaboration with HDK–Valand. I am trained as a teacher in Art and Design at IBIS, as well as a special education teacher. With many years of experience in primary school and special education groups, I have developed methods that combine art, design, and pedagogy to promote learning and inclusion.

In my PhD project I want to research how aesthetic learning processes can create new pathways to learning, motivation, and participation for students in challenging school and life situations.
