Amidst the sudden ardor of spring, we are pleased to invite you to a group exhibition set across an unoccupied office floor at Mårbackagatan 5C in Farsta. The area, known as Telestaden, was once a hub for Swedish telecommunication and remains the former site of the anechoic chamber where the voice of “Fröken Ur” was recorded – a service that has kept track of time for almost a century.
The exhibition is not bound by a specific theme; instead, it aims to be an ongoing conversation between different artistic expressions, concepts, and ideas, letting each work enter into a dialogue with the space – its history, and its architecture. In an inversion of the anechoic chamber, our intention is for the exhibition to become a scene for contemplation as well as conversation, creating a small echo out into the world. After a long and dark winter, we hope that Ardor will provide an influx of light, thought, passion, and enthusiasm.
