Plastic Perspectives

Nkuli Mlangeni-Berg, student at the master's programme CRAFT Textiles, together with Anna Babenko, student at the bachelor's programme in Interior Architecture and Furniture Design, designed a mobile hair salon prototype as part of the Lund University research projects on plastic materials.

The prototype is an experimentation with synthetic hair fibres typically used to braid hair. It was inspired by the idea of re-using synthetic hair fibres to create working space for women entrepreneurs in the African continent. The piece will be shown at the Form/Design center as part of the Plastic Perspective project in Malmö.
