Are you interested in the ideas and expressions of tomorrow’s designers and artists? Welcome to Konstfack at Telefonplan 4–8 February, to Stockholm Furniture Fair and to Sergels Torg during Stockholm Design Week. We’re showing what eating, design, artistic education and a sustainable future have in common through multiple exhibitions, collaborative dialogues and a seminar day on 5 February.

At Konstfack, Telefonplan
Students from the Master’s programme Design Ecologies have developed design propositions for food product-service systems for the future in projects being part of the Vinnova funded “Degrees of a school lunch 2060”, in collaboration with Beteendelabbet (a lab for behavioral design) and WWF.

Industrial design students have both developed playful products for eating and cooking in close dialogue with young users with special needs and worked with Better Shelter on a project for prolonging the life span of their modules creating safer, more dignified living conditions for displaced people worldwide.

Interior architecture and furniture design students present a selection of experimental interpretations addressing care, artistry and experimental preservation while visual communication students contribute with both graphic design and identity, as well as a magazine project called “Black beach”.

Students from Students from Interior Architecture and Furniture Design, Textile, Ceramics and Glass will show examples from "The Space as Luminaire" which resulted in full scale light and materiality installations.

Outside Konstfack
Interior architecture and furniture design students are also represented at Stockholm Furniture Fair, displaying interpretations of the existing structures of a former industrial area in Stockholm, Henriksberg, with diverse building typologies, activities and expressions. Their proposals connect an industrial past with an envisioned future by providing new interior programmes and transformed aesthetics, aspiring to contribute to the surrounding community.

At Sergels Torg, the very heart of Stockholm, four spectacular textile works will be presented outdoors as the result of a collaboration between textile and industrial design students.

Welcome!
