Rise and Shoot

Join us at Konstfack for the opening of Konstfack x Rise and shoot analogue exhibition Thursday at 17:00!

After a weekend workshop on analogue photography, guided by the konstfack students Ailin Mirlashari and Heaven Feday, rise and shoots alumni participants are excited to showcase their work.

The exhibition will be open until Sunday between 12-17, so don’t miss the chance to see the results of their creative journey!

Rise and Shoot is a photography and visual arts organization based in the Järva area of Stockholm, Sweden. Founded by young creatives like Yusuf Hussein, Amina Mohamed, and Fatuma Yussuf, it provides training and opportunities for local youth interested in photography. The organization’s mission is to foster artistic expression and professional skills, especially for young people from Stockholm’s suburban communities, where access to creative resources and industry networks is often limited. Rise and Shoot focuses on inclusivity and diversity, aiming to represent and empower underrepresented voices in Sweden’s creative sector.

Their projects include year-long photography courses and exhibitions, such as the “Visual Diaries” exhibition at Kulturhuset, which showcases personal narratives that explore identity, self-perception, and cultural representation. In 2023, Rise and Shoot partnered with Canon Sweden to hold an exhibition in Rinkeby, further supporting local youth in turning their creative passions into professional pursuits.
