"Animism" at Alcova/Milano 2024 – Olle Sahlqvist

Olle Sahlqvist, student at the master's programme in Design - Spatial Design, exhibits the works Ticka shelf, Bark lamp and Spore.

"Animism" is a landmark exhibition of contemporary design and crafts taking place at Alcova Milano 2024, in a grand room of the historical Villa Bagatti Valsecchi in conjunction with Milano Design Week 2024.

The exhibition will investigate the deeper meaning of objects, through the lens of Animism. We talk about pieces as if they’re alive as if they’re people – the sofa goes well with the rug, the lamp has a lot of character, and so on – yet rarely do we entertain the notion that they might truly possess life.
