50% PhD Seminar - Cecilia Hei Mee Flumé

Illustration is communication. Who we’re communicating with, where and how, are central aspects of illustration. I work with the intersections of gender, class and race. I am obliged to ask, who will be able to understand my work? How do I make my work accessible? How do I talk about my work? Why is it important?

For my 50% seminar, I have invited Jeff Werner, professor in art history at Stockholm University.

The seminar will be held in English and will start with me presenting my work followed by a discussion between me and professor Jeff Werner.
