Sloyd education is a research area that is facing major retirements in just a few years. Recruitment of two doctoral students in the subject was therefore prioritised in 2024.
As Konstfack does not have the right to award degrees on a scientific basis, the education for these two doctoral students is provided in a newly started collaboration with Åbo Akademi University in Vaasa, Finland, in the subject of Sloyd.
