Description
The doctoral dissertation in media and commmunications from Örebro University (2018) uses a DeleuzoGuattarian framework in order to inverstigate affective processes and subjectification in spectatorship pertaining to films that appear difficult to categorize as either documentary or mockumentary. Following this a new materialist theoretical and methodological framework is suggested, a "mediamaterialist methodassemblage". This is attuned to investigate affective processes in relation to visual culture but is also reformulated as a didactic potential with the aim of developing critical medialiteracy, what is refered to as a becoming-political fo the viewing subject.
