Futures Present examines how artistic research speculates, envisions, and imagines our current and future societies. Foregrounding interdisciplinarity and engaging with cultural heritages and futures, it seeks to articulate frameworks for shaping desirable societal trajectories amidst conditions of complex and accelerated change.
Before the Right to Repair Directive (Directive (EU) 2024/1799) took full effect on 31 July 2026, the conference Care and Repair Day was organized with a focus on circular business models. Ernesto Garcia was one of many panelists talking about how care and repair is moving from a sustainability initiative to a cultural and commercial transformation.
Konstfack doctoral student in Visual Communication, Bitte Andersson, has been awarded RFSL Stockholm’s Community Hero 2026 distinction. The award recognises her longstanding work to create space for queer stories, forms of expression and communities through art and culture.
