Arts Thread is a leading digital platform and international meeting place for new and emerging artists and designers. Since 2020, it has organised The Global Creative Graduate Showcase, a competition that gives students the opportunity to showcase their work alongside fellow students from around the world and have it assessed by leading industry professionals. Last year's edition received more than 5,000 entries from 472 educational institutions in 117 countries. In the first round, around 500 projects are shortlisted, with the number then narrowed down further based on the jury's assessments.

Linn Thomessen has investigated how housing situations, vulnerability, and loneliness affect crisis preparedness. The result is "Hubbe" – a mobile meeting place for neighborhoods lacking a community center. The aim is to strengthen preparedness through neighborly cooperation, and by using tools that blur the line between emergency equipment and everyday necessities, the threshold for making contact is lowered.

Francesca Pezzotti's project "Wet Soil for a Burning World" explores forest fires and how charcoal can be reactivated to support both preventive measures and long-term regeneration.

"Burning Sands" by Barbora Lovíšková is a graphic novel exploring themes of home, belonging and migration. Its story is set in a fantastical world, covered by lethal sands, and inhabited by giant creatures with cities on their backs. People both welcome and fear their collision, as it brings opportunities for trade and migration, but also the possibility of a terrible disaster.
