This year's curators, Abir Boukhari and Ulrika Flink, bring both extensive and internationally rooted experience. Abir Boukhari, who completed CuratorLab at Konstfack in 2016, often explores themes of migration, identity, and contemporary art in conflict zones. She is the co-founder and director of AllArtNow Art Space and Extension Art Space. Abir has curated exhibitions and projects at institutions such as Moderna Museet Malmö, the Finnish Pori Art Museum, and the Danish Bornholm Art Museum. She has also led residencies, exhibitions, and artistic research programmes in collaboration with institutions across Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
Ulrika Flink is the artistic director of Konstfrämjandet Stockholm and, as a curator, is interested in examining the dynamics of collective expressions by bringing together artistic, theoretical, and political perspectives. She has curated exhibitions both in Sweden and internationally, including the Nordic art biennial Momentum 9 (2017), the Borås International Sculpture Biennial (2021), and in 2024, the Swedish Pavilion at the Gwangju Biennale in South Korea, the Çanakkale Biennale in Turkey, and Ingrid Pollard: Being in Landscapes at Eva Livijn Artspace in Stockholm. Ulrika holds a master’s degree in curatorial practice from the Royal College of Art in London and has previously worked at Konsthall C, Tensta Konsthall, Autograph ABP (London), and Bonniers Konsthall.
This year's graphic identity, created by Sofia Ljungberg and Hilda Tenow Benulic, alumni of the Graphic Design and Illustration programme (2023), explores creative flow – a state of deep concentration where thoughts and ideas naturally merge through intuition and experience. It’s akin to being carried away by a current, where time and surroundings fade, and one becomes fully immersed in the creative process. This sense of movement is a central part of the visual identity.
"Konstfack serves as an environment where ideas develop through exploration and experimentation, where the boundary between thought and action blurs," say the designers, who have reflected this dynamic in the concept, connecting the school’s creative processes with the broader flow of ideas, individuals, and expressions.
Konstfack’s Degree Exhibition 2025 runs from 14–23 May.
