Coming Home From Work – matt lambert

The time has arrived to come home and unpack the work that has been done and continues to be done. matt lambert's PhD thesis "Cruising with Craft to the Ends of the Worlds: Practices of Shattering Becoming Scyborg and Dancing with Dragons as Possible Cartographies" will be assembled during this gathering. Anyone attending is welcome to pack their own purchased copy, pack a copy for someone else, or help pack copies that must make their way into the archives.

The thesis will arrive carried by people who have vitally supported the process. They will lay the various bits and pieces out on a table and the packing process will begin, there is no ending, no beginning, no index, only choices to be made and actions to be considered. A process that marks a moment where work becomes material, context and tool for cruising. Join the packing ceremony or just enjoy the conversation and a snack after work.

A viewing copy will also be presented as well as audio and visual happenings, snacks and whatever else may be. This is a seriously, unserious event. A way to find joy, and pleasure in an otherwise formal process.

The space is generously provided by Misschiefs founded by Paola Bjäringer, existing as a space, a context, and a movement among many, many other incredible things focused on Womxn artists and creatives. It has been a home for lambert, a rare gem that has and continues to offer kinship, solidarity and love; a perfect place to come home to after the work
