What do you think of when you think about rooftops in cities? Fancy rooftop bars with nice views, penthouse apartments or empty spaces?

The workshop will be hosted by Konstfack student and spatial designer Michelle Heising, who will give a short presentation about her work with the Berlin collective "Operation Himmelblick" and an introduction into sustainable public space and community development with concepts like the "Charta of Neurourbanism" for increasing mental health in cities.

Followed by a 2 hour workshop and discussion to collect insides about the possibilities in Stockholm together with the participants.

It's an evening event to get some insides about “city-making”, public design and sustainable community building.

The workshop consists of three parts:
1. A presentation about the work with the Berlin artistic and political collective Operation Himmelblick (operation skyview - related to rooftops)

2. An interactive workshop to explore unused spaces in Stockholm

3. Time for mingeling, knowledge exchange and connecting people to form initiatives for city-making in Stockholm

The workshop is ment for students of the universites that belong to the Navet centre. It’s for creatives, makers, technicians, pedagogists or politically involved people that want to create sustainable communities and spaces.

Sign up for the workshop at the Navet website!

IMPORTANT: Think of places in Stockholm that you think are unused and bring maybe a printed picture of it to the workshop!

Michelle Heising is a sustainable spatial and product designer from Germany, and currently student at the master's programme Design Ecologies at Konstfack.
