The Swedish Green Series - Truls Goldschmidt

The project explores the potential of artistic and functional design to reinvigorate used materials and challenge the principles of functionalism with new expressions, in an attempt to both develop and preserve historical heritage. Central to this exploration is the use of Swedish green marble, a material deeply connected to functionalism and renowned for its timeless elegance. By combining it with oak and aluminum, crafted in standard dimensions, the project seeks to create a harmonious interplay between tradition and modernity. It honors the legacy of the material while reimagining its role within a contemporary design language, bridging the past with a forward-looking vision.

Exhibited at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2025 as a part of Greenhouse, the international platform for up-and-coming designers.
