This seminar will focus on the evolving structure of the dissertation In Search for the Measurable, the Immeasurable and the Elusive Experience of Light, with an emphasis on how it's different parts relate to each other. We will also discuss methodological approaches for exploring both the measurable and the immeasurable qualities of light, with particular attention to the upcoming full-scale study in two reconfigured seminar rooms at Konstfack.
Nanet Mathiasen is an architect and researcher at Institute of the Built Environment at Aalborg University. She specializes in architectural lighting design and holds a Ph.D. on Nordic light and architecture. In her research and teaching, she focuses on the role of daylight in architecture and how various lighting design creates the perceived atmosphere of a space.
