"Untouchable Land" is an ongoing project that delves into a personal fascination with space and time, asking the question "where do I belong".

The journey commences with the self-portrait "Meteorite," a symbolic representation of self-discovery. Inspired by the Chinese interpretation of my name, Liu Xing, meaning "shooting star" or "meteorite," Meteorite serie reflects a profound journey of self-identifying. This exploration is intertwined with my experiences of emigration, leading to a deep sense of double consciousness and identity complexities.

As an extension of this exploration, the exhibition showcases a collection of ink paintings portraying imaginative interpretations of enigmatic and untouchable places. Through these paintings, I reflect on the mysteries of existence and the limitations of perception. Moreover, my experimentation with ceramic planets further expands upon these themes, encouraging deeper contemplation of existence. Together, "Untouchable Land" explains a multifaceted my exploration of identity, belonging, and the profound mysteries of space and time.
