Ane Thon Knutsen is a graphic designer and artist living and working in Oslo, Norway. In this lecture we follow the rise and fall of poet, artist, publisher, graphic designer, journalist, editor and activist Nancy Cunard. Why is she mostly known as muse for other artists, when she in fact contributed with countless contributions to the cultural and political discourse of her time? Why has so many people actively been attempted to erase her work through violent misogynic attempts?

This lecture aims to rectify some of the misconceptions about Cunard, focusing on her trailblazing work and her fearless and unapologetic way of living a life fighting and sacrificing everything for justice and freedom for all.
