How to disappear completely

Vernissage: Thursday 19 december, 17-21

"How to disappear completely" is based on the concept of bild-hugga as a verb, which actually does not exist in the Swedish dictionary. The artists, students at the Master's programme in Fine Art participating in the study group have approached this doing by, among other things, separating the different parts of the term. The word's origin — to sculpt; to carve a motif from a solid body — remains. At the same time, the separation of the individual parts forces shifts in what the words can hold in themselves.
