CROSSING LINES
With a particular focus on their research collaboration Approximations, Dragičević and Sonderkamp will present excerpts from various performance formats they have shared with audiences. Through practical exercises and conversations, the two artists will convey aspects of moving across the fields of visual art and dance along a concept of choreography as a not-yet disciplined, divergent form of collaboration as it has emerged in their research practice.
Darko Dragičević is a Belgrade born Berlin based, visual/performance artist, filmmaker and lecturer who has shown his work internationally since 2003. Expanding the notion of artistic practice, he moves between the fields of visual arts, performance, choreography, and film. He is involved in interdisciplinary projects and cross-media collaborations. He teaches at institutions such as SKH Stockholm University of the Arts, FU-Freie Universität Berlin and ZZT/HfmT Köln, among others.
Martin Sonderkamp is a dance artist based in Berlin and Stockholm. Since 1993 he has choreographed stage works, created participatory choreographies, audio guides, mixed media installations, and performance scores collaborating with artists from the fields of sound art, performance, dance, visual art, and music. Currently, Martin investigates the potential of listening as a form of movement across sound art, experimental dance, and electronic music. He is Professor of Choreography at Stockholm University of the Arts.
