Is it possible today to build a new form of society?
Vernissage: 30 November, 17:00
MFA student Nathalie Gabrielsson presents a hybrid cultural format incorporating art exhibition, theatre play, and business event at the Teater Tribunalen in Stockholm, 30 November-3 December 2017. The event strives to unravel the relationship between entrepreneurship and alternative forms of governance, social change, environmental and economic sustainability. A forum where to ask questions about how cultural and social models are affected by ideological matrixes of thinking.
The event is produced and organized by the Kybernein Institute (KI), a research think-tank established by Nathalie Gabrielsson to address the overlaps of policy making with cultural production at the intersection between art, business, and economics. Through exhibitions, lectures, seminars, workshops, film screenings, and site specific installations, KI explores how narratives becomes policy; how ideas formed by text and image are ultimately implemented through acts of politics.
As an artist, Nathalie explore cultural and social models through the notion of performativity. She 'enters' social systems - businesses, institutions and organizations that in different ways strive to change and affect society through aesthetics and storytelling. Nathalie is interested in how this 'system performance' produces and distributes culture and ideology via lobbyism and communication strategies.
