Checklist before departure

• Valid passport or ID card that can be used for travelling abroad. Other documentation required by your own country

• Residence permit, for non EU citizens

• European Health Insurance card or other proof of medical insurance, for EU citizens 

• Other forms of insurance (such as personal property insurance)

• Finance/Banking arrangements

• Tickets, you can buy a travel card for local transportation, for students without showing a student ID card. This card can be used in the Public transportation system (tunnelbana, SL buses or Pendeltåg). The International office will assist you in applying for a student ID after registration.

• Accommodation arrangements. Do not ever pay for accommodation in advance!
Do you know the address of accommodation. Payment details. Are you clear on your responsibilities? If you are staying in our dorm you need to bring bed linen (the bed is 90 cm).

• Date of arrival. Will somebody meet you? How will you get the keys to the dorm?

• Clothing – appropriate range of clothing. In the winter the weather in Sweden can be variable, from very cold to quite mild.

• Documentation related to your exchange required by your own and host institution.
