Application and admission

Masters Degree Program

Konstfack’s two-year graduate program unites design, art, crafts, history, theory and criticism in a dialogue with studio and practice-based work. The program leads to a Master of Fine Arts which comprises 120 university credits. The Master’s program offers eight different disciplines called Master’s Groups. You apply to one of these Master's Groups; each one is led by its professors.

Application and portfolio deadline: January 15, 2013
• Final date for supplementing transcripts: February 1, 2013
• Prospective interviews take place during February 2013
• Acceptance notifications are given during April 2013


Bachelors Degree Programs

In the three-year Undergraduate Level (for the Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts) you can choose between seven different programs. Each student has access to an individual workspace, a computer lab and fully-equipped studios and workshops.

Teacher Education

The teaching at the Teacher Education programs is in Swedish, and is aimed at the Swedish school system. It is therefore a prerequisite that you have a mastery of Swedish or another Scandinavian language in order to follow the courses program.

Application and portfolio deadline: April 16, 2013
Application via www.universityadmissions.se, and upload of portfolios opens on March 15, 2013.


Exchange students

Deadlines for applications to study one semester at Konstfack (exchange students from other schools) are May 1 for the fall semester and October 15 for the spring semester. Read more about International Exchange here.


Application forms are treated in automated records

According to Personal Data Act (1998:204) and the Regulation on reporting of studies at universities and colleges (2001:1133) applications will be processed in automated records.
