Come and be part of a collective repair

As part of my PhD research, "Something is Broken", I will do continual repair of spaces and objects in my surroundings. This time it is about the lounge chairs at Konstfack´s café.

The repairs will be done within 3 weeks, in which you are welcome to participate in one or all of the three sessions. The sessions will have the form of afterwork-shops where you as participant are invited to contribute with conversations, sharing knowledge and/or experiences; exploring how the chairs should be repaired through sketching, planning, and/or making the repair. Or simply by gathering and being curious to see what is going on.

12 March, 7-9 pm - Session 1: Sketch
In this first session, we will explore ways to repair the lounge chairs. We will sketch in both 2D and 3D and make material tests.

19 March, 7-9 pm - Session 2: Repair
During this session, we will begin the actual repair of the lounge chairs based on the findings from the first session.

26 March, 7-9 pm - Session 3: Vernissage
After the second session, I will continue working on the repairs. In this final session, we complete the reparation, summarize the workshops, and have a vernissage.

Each session runs from 5 PM to 7 PM, and there will be soup (plant based) and bread.
