Posthuman Entanglements: Reclaiming Female Subjectivity in the Skin of Nature?

Victoria Lucas’ installation-based artworks incorporate sculpture with video, photography, sound and performance. She uses technology and sculpture to remap, embody and entangle the material strata of landscapes, a process in which female subjectivity is reimagined and reclaimed in place. In this presentation, Lucas will talk about a small disused quarry and its inhabitants, situated in the North of England, which has become central to her PhD research and artistic practice over the past two years.
