Konstfack, in collaboration with the Octopus Programme, is hosting a presentation with artist Bochra Taboubi and palaeobilogist Dr. Mohamed Bazi.

During the event, Bochra Taboubi will present her ongoing research project Cluster of Matter. The project focuses on matter as an organic speculation questioning our collective memory. Taboubi has worked closely with the natural reserves of Tunisia and has created an index of fictional and natural creatures and chimerical forms to suggest possible fauna and flora that could have existed in times past.

Dr. Mohamed Bazi, has a PhD in Quantitative Palaeobiology, Uppsala University and is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Zurich.

The Octopus Programme is a guided, research-based educational programme which encourages artistic research and production-based collaborations between academies, art institutions, students and professionals and includes diverse presentation modes, processes of research and documentation taking form within and from different geographies. From this diverse network, Konstfack is a partner.

The participating artists selected and appointed to the programme are Konstfack students Alina Rentsch (DE/SE) and Sofia Priftis (SE), as well as Bengü Karadumann (TR), Bochra Taboubi (TU), Els van Houtert (NL/AT), Jannis Neumann (DE/AT), Kim M.
