Research Directions

Since autumn 2012, the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design (Konstfack) established four research directions, each with its own research leader.

These directions were formed in conjunction with the drafting of Konstfack's research strategy, and in collaboration with parties at the school who are active and interested in research. A survey of ongoing activities, future needs, the relevance of the directions to the undergraduate programme and the requirement that they be interdisciplinary/inter-departmental, formed the basis for both the discussions and the decision.

The research directions are:
Design Driven Knowledge Production (Bo Westerlund)
Material Cultures (vacancy)
Narrative Processes (Magnus Bärtås)
Visual Cultures and Learning (Ulla Lind)

Together, the research directors form the research management team and are responsible for the development of Konsfack's research environment.
