Jonas Karén's practice revolves around questions of class and the esthetics of exclusion. In his exhibition Kista Galleria he will present painting in which he depicts his journey from the working class to an art academy by portraying the change in esthetic taste he had to go thorough, starting as a child and 25 years on, to transform into the person of middle class sensibility he is today.

This will be paired by a series of performances in which he gives a guided tour of the exhibition, telling and singing the aforementioned story.

In Sanna Laaban's exhibition please enjoy it with your eyes only, we encounter three sculptural works. A link between them is a built in defense mechanism they all carry. In one piece, sketches imitating Picassos peace doves, are enlarged as big signboards, tops covered with bird spikes.
In another, the top of picturesque villa, emerge from the floor carrying a "private parking"-sign. The third work is an upscaled "Newton's cradle" with wooden water melons. They all come out of an interest in the everyday; in terms of objects and esthetics but also the premises under which we move around.
