Read, borrow and download e-books

Spring 2020: Students and staff at Konstfack can temporaliy access hundreds of e-books from the publisher Bloomsbury.  


Bloomsbury Applied Visual Arts – More than 270 e-books in subjects such as design, textile design, photography and illustration can be read online.

Bloomsbury Design Library – More than 100 e-books in design, mostly encyclopedias and general overviews, such as Victor Margonin's World History of Design.

Ebook Central is an e-book platform with a selection of approximately 150 000 titles.

Read Online

  1. Search in Ebook Central
  2. Log in with your Konstfack user account (Log in through your Library).
  3. You may browse an e-book for five minutes, then you have to decide whether to borrow the e-book or not. You can read it online or download it. Some titles are available immediately, for access to other titles you may have to send a loan request to the library.
  4. You may also copy 5% or print 20% of an e- book.

Borrow and download an e-book to your computer:

The first time you download an e-book you have to create an Adobe user ID.  Adobe Digital Editions is required for reading e-books from EBL on a computer.

  1. To get an Adobe ID, please register at:

  2. Install Adobe Digital Editions via the EBL catalogue and log in with your Adobe ID.

  3. Search an e-book in the Ebook Central

  4. Choose loan lenght (1, 7, 14 or 28 days).

  5. Download the e-book and read it in Adobe Digital Editions.

Borrow and download e-books to your mobile phone or tablet computer

  1. Create an Adobe user ID.

  2. Get an app, choose an e-book reader compatible with Adobe Digital Editions.

  3. Start the app and log in via your Adobe user ID.

  4. Search an e-book in the Ebook Central

  5. Download the e-book. Choose format: epub or pdf.
